Summer is travel season and you maybe wondering why people are choosing green alternative fuel? While everyone is generally excited by the prospective  trips and vacations, many people worry about the costs associated with transportation. Additionally, carbon emissions, like those resulting from vehicle exhausts, are placing a burden on the environment. Alternative fuel vehicles are one solution being offered to address these concerns. They are easier on the environment than traditional fuels.

Cleaner Emissions

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, alternative fuels like propane, natural gas, and electricity all have far fewer emissions than gasoline and diesel. Not only is this better for the environment, but it is better for public health too. Check out our zero emissions school bus if you want to see what impact your emissions could have.

Energy Independence

Alternative energy vehicles can help the nation to become more energy independent. The idea behind this concept is spreading our energy needs among more than one fuel source, thus making us less dependent on other countries to help us meet our energy demands. This also means that prices are independent for gas fluctuations and other market trends.

Celebrate Earth Day with The Benefits of Alternative Fuel Fleets

Approximately 480,000 yellow school buses-4-1.pngEarth Day is a holiday we have set aside specifically to consider the Earth, the environment and our relationship to it, and other global-level sustainability issues. At a corporate level, one of the best uses of Earth Day might be to consider investment in alternative fuel fleets.

Whether you're interested in upgrading existing vehicles to use alt-fuel engines or considering purchasng new natural gas or propane-based vehicles, you could be doing a lot to help the planet with the investment.

Plus - you'd also enjoy lower fuel prices, easier maintenance, better mileage, and all the other benefits of alternative fuels!

Three Ways Alternative Fuel Fleets Are Better for The Planet

  1. Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Burning fossil fuels are responsible for roughly 3/4 of the greenhouse gases in our atmosphere, contributing to global climate change and numerous resulting ecological problems.  While it's true that natural gas and propane are derived from fossil fuels, both are vastly cleaner-burning than gasoline as well as releasing far fewer vaporous emissions during fuel-up.

Top Ten Reasons to Consider CNG Fuel Vehicles In 2017

Top Ten Reasons to Consider CNG Fuel Vehicles In 2017
Will 2017 be the year of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles?  It seems increasingly likely.  The list of reasons to invest in CNG fuel vehicles is growing every day, and the downsides are becoming ever-fewer. Here are some of the Benefits of Choosing CNG Fuel Vehicles:

  1. Low gasoline prices won't last forever.  The currently-low prices are mostly due to geo-politics, not supply increases.  When OPEC and other oil-producing nations tire of their trade war, prices could go up rapidly.
  2. CNG is more readily available.  Compressed Natural Gas is spread fairly evenly around the world and generally requires less effort to obtain than crude oil.  Low prices on CNG will likely remain stable.
  3. Pure price savings.  Depending on local prices, CNG is up to 50% less expensive than gasoline on a per-mile basis.  These savings can be extended by buying in bulk and installing your own fueling station.
  4. Easy-pass emissions standards.  Since CNG is far less polluting than gasoline, CNG fuel vehicles pass even the strictest of local environmental regulations with ease. Fueling stations are becoming more common.  Previously one of the biggest arguments against CNG was lack of fueling stations, but there are now hundreds of CNG fuel stations across the US with more being installed every month.

Why Converting Your Fleet Could Seriously improve Your Bottom Line

Why are green alternative gases so cheap?

Screen Shot 2016-12-15 at 10.11.27 AM-1.pngGreen alternative gases are becoming more and more predominant across the country. Businesses in particular are looking toward using alternative gas because they are cheaper, more environmentally conscious, and provide access to attractive incentives provided by both State and Federal governments--including considerable tax reductions and exemptions.

For businesses that find themselves in such a situation, a better alternative may be converting their current fleets to using natural gas systems. The upfront costs of conversion may seem daunting, but most companies that convert to alternative fuel see the investment paid back quickly.
